Il est nécessaire d’être fou, à savoir de chanter, car il est impossible à un chevalier, ou à quiconque, de lancer une attaque victorieuse contre les propriétaires de ce monde

« What if Don-Quichotte was a woman? »
She’d be 66, her name would be Knight-Night.
Fiction / Friction
She’s fearless, a “Hobo”, a traveler inhabited by space.
With her faithful companion, a cowboy turned dog, they wander in search of a new language.
They defy the repetitive, trampling world of the “malignant enchanters”, the illusionists who deliberately seek to crush our multiple identities.
They castigate power relations in the sexual, political and social spheres: an inexhaustible cry in this refusal of a body-object subjected to man’s desire, and to social determinism. On stage, “en flagrant délit de légender”, revisiting the myth of the picaresque hero in the guise of a modern-day Chevalier through her battles and struggles.
An escape from destiny.

« The reason I wrote Don Quichotte was to see how the texts already established within our societal matrix worked (…).
I wasn’t constructing anything other than my own reaction to it, so it was clearly a process of deconstruction (…).
I took things apart, as children sometimes do, and used every strategy I could think of to dismantle them.
As it happened, Don Quichotte was the book I had taken with me to the hospital when I was about to have an abortion (…). I began to see that the purpose of the book was, in a way, to appropriate men’s texts and try to find my voice as a woman… »
